"This mission is too important for me to allow you to jeopardize it" - HAL 9000

'2001: A space odyssey' a movie filmed around 1968 that I watched few months back, honestly it was too slow moving, with loads of silence, few dialogue exchanges and lot of scenes that were filmed with ultra wide angle shots, the first 20 minutes of movie were made to test viewer's calibre to hold their seat tight with desperation, a perfect testament of patience for film critiques as well. But as we know if I am talking about that movie, there must be something about it, to be ponder about.

So what makes this movie so special, we should initiate this segment of discussion with keeping the point in our mind that it was filmed in 1968 and honestly the special effects used in this movie were exceptionally executed even better than most of the bollywood movies, till now.( South movies industries have done well in recent times though)

Also, apart from the grand, large scale movie scenes and cinematography, what makes me more intrigued about the movie was, a monolith saga (monolith is a kind of cubicle object as I used a picture of it in main poster of this blog) or we can say core talking point of the movie that was used as symbol of successor for the 'evolution of life' in universe.

So what was the deal with this monolith in the movie, despite you guys probably don't have seen this movie,( who cares about 1968 movie ;) but I think you should be familiar with the idea of this masterpiece, also the movie told us the idea of AI and it's future, the interaction of protagonist with AI supercomputer during the climax the iconic repititive dialogue by HAL 9000 " I am afraid Dave, I can't do this" really sums up what will future can be look like, I was truly failed to understand the deeper  meaning hided behind the many sequences of movie, but then I try to figure it out and read the director's perspective about movie and it helped me out sort of, of course 😂 (Thank mr. Kubrick) and spoilers alert if you are going to watch this movie 🍿 make sure the ending of it will not disappoint you.

And about monolith, even if I mentioned it I am not fully able to understand this, believe me I have read lots of article to get an idea but it was freaking tough to crack for me....but hope you will have any explanation for that, please let me know about it, comment it down below.
